Product Description:
This steel combines high hardness, strength, and wear resistance with outstanding cutting performance, making it suitable for automatic lathes and CNC machining. It is widely used in producing shafts, gears, bolts, nuts, bushings, and other mechanical parts that require both durability and high dimensional accuracy in mass production.
After proper quenching and tempering, Y40MnPb achieves high surface hardness and fatigue strength while maintaining stable cutting performance. However, it is not suitable for welding or heavy-impact applications. Its superior machinability, consistent quality, and long tool life make it a preferred material for efficient, precision-oriented manufacturing.
This steel features high dimensional accuracy and fine surface finish after machining. It is widely used for manufacturing screws, bolts, nuts, shafts, and other small mechanical parts with complex shapes. Due to its superior cutting performance, Y12Pb significantly improves productivity and is especially suited for mass production in the machinery and automotive industries.
The addition of lead improves lubrication and reduces cutting resistance, resulting in low tool wear and consistent quality. Y12Pb can be used in applications where high mechanical strength is not critical but where precision, surface quality, and machining efficiency are essential. It is not recommended for heat-treated or welded components due to reduced toughness.
